Green Garlic

We recently harvested a beautiful crop of green garlic - garlic picked while still young - from the community garden. Alys Fowler has some good ideas on what to do with it.

The Greening Brownfield community garden is open to the public on Sunday afternoon between 2-4pm. Feel free to drop in, take a tour and find out how to get involved. We're on the old tennis court near Carradale House, on Andrew Street, off 88 St Leonard's Road, Poplar, E14 0SW.

The Big Lunch, 5th June 2011

Please join us for the Big Lunch at the Greening Brownfield community garden (on the tennis court next to Carradale House).

On the menu: organic burgers, free-range sausages and vegan kebabs. There will be home-made bread and chutneys, big bowls of salad and a dazzing display from the Greening Brownfield Cake Club.

Best of all you'll get to meet your neighbours. They're a lovely bunch!

Please bring a dish to share and whatever you'd like to drink.
