residents of the brownfield estate are invited to join in a local reclaimed wood carpentry project, starting on the 29th september.
working alongside a local intergenerational group, the project will design sculpture benches for the new eco-hub outside balfron tower. construction will follow on the 13th, 20th and possibly 27th october.
the project is being led by suraya and danny from city wood, and will be held at the burcham street community centre, london e14 0sh.

ReplyDeleteWorkshops like these are great and will do anybody who attended a lot of good. Simple things like the proper way to use a hammer or how to install Door Hinges will be important someday and doing it yourself will save a lot of money. There also the safety issue when it comes to construction and knowing what to do when accidents happen is key.
